PROGRAM OVERVIEW
TitleTrack CD Player provides the ultimate way for Macintosh users to play music CDs in their CD-ROM drives. Just load a disc in the drive, and TitleTrack will automatically download from the Internet the title, artist, a complete songlist and more. Full CD controls included (play, stop, pause, fast forward, etc.), plus much more!
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- System 7.1 or later (System 7.5.3 or later recommended)
- Apple CD-ROM and Foreign File Access extensions (included with your system software) installed and enabled.
- Internet Access. For America Online users, version 3.0 or later, using AOL Link.
KNOWN INCOMPATIBILITIES
- TitleTrack might not be able to access the online database where internet access is through a network that employs a firewall.
- TitleTrack is not compatible with a third-party extension called the "APS CD-ROM." The Apple CD-ROM extension that is included with your system software should be used instead.
- TitleTrack may not be compatible with other third-party CD-ROM extensions.
- There have been reports of memory-related problems when a third-party extension called "AutoMenus Pro" is installed.
INSTALLATION
- Before you launch TitleTrack for the first time, you should open your internet connection (for AOL users, this means you simply sign on; you do not have to open your browser). You can skip this step if you have set your computer automatically to open the internet connection on launching any TCP/IP application (for example, if you use PPP, in the "Options" under "Connection" there is a setting to "Connect Automatically When Starting TCP/IP Applications.")
- When you launch TitleTrack for the first time, the program will open up to its "General Preferences" window. You should select your preferences and fill out the necessary information. If you are unsure what to select, click the button "Default" and then "OK." If any information is missing, the program will alert you.
- You are now ready to use TitleTrack. Just insert a music CD into your CD-ROM drive, and TitleTrack will automatically look the disc up in the online database, download the information, and display it for you.
FEATURES
The TitleTrack CD Player was designed to be fairly intuitive to use. A panel of basic CD controls consist of Play, Pause, Stop, Previous Track, Rewind, Fast Forward, Next Track, and eject CD. To the left of the panel is a button to toggle between playing the CD to the end, or looping play. To the right of the panel are two arrows to expand/contract the display vertically and horizontally. Click on any track to begin play.

REGISTRATION
Registration enables you to enter information on more than five CDs, eliminates all registration reminders, and entitles you to free updates. A registration form is included within the program; select "Registration" from under the "Settings" menu, and fill out the form. The registration fee is $25, and you can pay by credit card, check or money order. The form can be either printed and mailed or faxed, or (for credit card purchases and upgrades) automatically e-mailed (this feature is not available for AOL users). All information is encrypted for transmission and is kept strictly confidential. Upon receipt, you will be sent a program KEY (each copy of the program has a unique key based on its serial number), which you enter to render the program registered, eliminating all registration reminders and enabling you to enter information on more than five CDs.
